Aden, NewsYemen:

The Yemeni diplomat and former ambassador, Mustafa Ahmed Al-Numan, considered that the invitation of the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, who participated in the Yemeni consultations in Riyadh, in a personal capacity, would make the dialogue more lively and impartial.

Al-Numan said, in an article published by the “Independent Arabia” platform, on Tuesday, under the title “On the way to Riyadh”, the Secretary-General did well by emphasizing that the invitations will be in the personal capacity of each participant, refusing to accept all the attempts made by the parties and organizations to obtain a number of participants.  greater than what is granted to those who belong to it.

Al-Numan - who is among those invited to participate in the Yemeni consultations in the Saudi capital, Riyadh - believed that this would make the dialogue more lively, impartial, and perhaps balanced without bidding, in the hope that each participant would speak on his behalf without being bound by restrictive and rigid party regulations.

While the writer expected that the absence of two main parties from the participation (the Houthi group and a good part of the leaders of the General People's Congress) would cast a negative shadow on the dialogues.

However, it is expected that those who will attend will strive to raise the Yemeni national interest above all partisan and regional considerations, and bring before them the predicament facing everyone and causing the loss of Yemeni lives and spreading chaos in the entire region, and the growth of regional polarization at all levels.
