This year, a number of parents and students at Ibb University were surprised by new decisions taken by the administration controlled by Iran's arm in Yemen.
And private sources told NewsYemen that there is a strange trend on the part of the university administration and supervisors recently, whereby the name of the student who applies to study is recorded in the so-called "martyr's benches."
After registering the student, he must respond to the call at any time and enroll in the cultural courses affiliated with the militia or the fighting fronts.
One of them confirmed that he had registered one of his relatives in the “Technical Sciences” department, and he had paid the fees, only to be surprised shortly after a call from him telling him that the university administration; I asked him to register his name in the list of the Mujahideen, in case he wanted to continue studying, which forced him to leave his seat completely as there was no other option.
On the other hand, one of the mothers revealed that she had pushed her son to the university, the “Faculty of Medicine,” and after he took the entrance exam and succeeded, the administration’s request was that there should be a martyr from the family until the student’s file was completed. She says we had to transfer him to a private university in order to avoid these strange requests, so where can we give them a martyr from the family?!.

He concluded by saying. What is happening is illogical, people complain about high prices, tuition fees, strandings, and their inability to fulfill the simplest obligations towards themselves and their children, then someone from the family comes to ask you for a martyr.
