Aden electricity has always been the first way to defeat and dismiss the governors, and the previous government had previously failed and dismissed Aidarous al-Zubaidi from the position of governor by manipulating the electricity file.
After Al-Zubaidi, the government tried to thwart his predecessor, Abdulaziz Al-Muflihi, who submitted his resignation and spoke by name that the reason for his resignation was the war waged against him by the then prime minister, Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr.
Meles was subjected to repeated government attempts to thwart him and incite the citizens of the city against him.
The government suspended a lot of credits to the governorate and also caused crises to try to thwart the governor of Meles and cause him to be fired.
Governor Lamlas recently broke his silence, and he was the one who tried to moderate things for the sake of the governorate a lot, and confirmed that the government had repudiated its agreements regarding Aden's electricity.
“We will not remain silent and will not accept that the citizen in Aden suffers and lacks the most basic services, we in the local authority are doing our duty, and all responsible authorities must do their duties,” Lamlas said at a meeting of the governorate’s executive office.
Lamles emphasized that the local authority is not responsible for the supply, and a distinction must be made between the part that falls on the responsibility of the local authority and what falls on the central side.
Lamles added: The administration of Aden is a responsibility we have assumed, and we have to do our duty, and the negligent will be popularly tried in electricity or non-electricity, regardless of whether the governor or official, institution or government, and we must work according to this principle, and if we do not offer it something, there is no need to sit on this chair.
The electricity service witnessed a significant deterioration in the past days after the Saudi Grant Control Committee suspended fuel allocations for all power stations in the liberated governorates due to the non-payment of grant dues on an orderly basis.
Deputy Chairman of the Southern Media Authority, Mukhtar Al-Yafei, warned of a complete power outage in the city of Aden due to non-compliance with the agreement signed with the Saudi program.
Al-Yafei said, in his tweet, that Governor Ahmed Lamlas intervened and was able to restore the electricity supply in the past days, even if intermittently, but the service may be completely interrupted due to the government's disavowal of its duties.
And he indicated that the government's failure to fulfill its obligation to supply the joint account according to the agreement signed with the Saudi program, a complete power outage is expected in Aden after midnight on Wednesday and for very long hours, According to Al Yafai.

"The issue of citizens' kneeling in Aden and the liberated areas will not stop, and they will continue to be fought in the simplest necessary means of livelihood in an attempt to break the will of the southern people," he added.
