Aden, NewsYemen:

The Associated Press reported, on Wednesday, that US administration officials are considering imposing new financial sanctions this week on the Houthi militia and its leaders.

The agency said that the Houthi militia exposes the administration of President Joe Biden to another setback in foreign policy, as they launched cross-border strikes with drones and ballistic missiles targeting Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

In the face of this, US officials are considering financial measures targeting the Houthis and senior figures in the organization, with the possibility of new sanctions being imposed as soon as this week.

Noted that the Biden administration was seeking to reassure Gulf strategic allies, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, that they would provide defense support.
