Dr. Samiha Jamil, Director of the Health Office in Mocha Directorate, interacted with what was published by NewsYemen earlier about the critical health situation of a displaced person who has lost the ability to move due to obesity and elephantiasis.
Dr. Samiha’s move, in cooperation with the Handy Cap Organization, resulted in Ali Hassan Mukbouli getting a wheelchair to help him move around his place of residence in Al-Husayb camp for the displaced in Mocha.
These efforts were preceded by Dr. Samiha’s directing the mobile medical cart, to give him the necessary medications on a monthly basis for pressure disease, and to perform the medical surgery he needs, as he is unable to reach the health facilities in the directorate, as well as the health sector’s lack of awareness of the situation he is experiencing, as he is one of the recent arrivals to the Mocha Directorate.
NewsYemen had earlier published the tragedy of the displaced Makbouli coming from Hodeidah Governorate, who suffers from elephantiasis, pressure, and a stroke that rendered him unable to move.
Mukbouli contracted elephantiasis, years ago, and due to his inability to bear the costs of the operation, his right foot began to ulcerate and become infected, while its rot threatens his personal safety.
