The Houthi militia displaced 14,000 people from areas vacated by the "joint forces " in Hodeidah

The Executive Unit for the Management of IDPs Camps said that it had registered the displacement of 14,000 people from the districts vacated by the joint forces based on the Stockholm Agreement;  Eight thousand of them settled in the Al-Khokha district of Al-Hodeidah governorate, and 3,000 settled in the Al-Mocha district of the Taiz governorate.

The unit indicated that one thousand of these displaced people arrived in Aden governorate, while the rest were distributed to the districts of Mudhaffar, Al-Shamatayn, and Al-Waziah in Taiz governorate and Lahj governorate.

The Executive Unit reported that the number of displaced people displaced by the Houthi militia during the past two months exceeded one hundred thousand people (17,000 families) who fled several directorates in the governorates of Marib, Hodeidah and Shabwa, in the center and west of the country.

The city of Ma'rib and the Valley received the vast majority of them, while the rest were distributed to the directorates of the West Coast, Aden, Lahj, Wadi Hadramout and Al-Mahra.  And the humanitarian partners demanded a speedy intervention to provide the basic requirements for these numbers.

The report issued by the unit on displacement developments, during the period from September 25, 2021, to November 25, recorded a mass displacement of thousands of families as a result of the Houthi escalation.  in Shabwa, bringing the total to 100,1355 displaced people, with a total number of 17,078 families.

The Executive Unit confirmed that as a result of developments in the districts of Al-Durayhimi, Al-Tahita, Al-Hawk and Al-Hali in Al-Hodeidah governorate, Al-Abdiya, Rahba, Jabal Murad, Al-Juba, Harib and Sirwah districts in the Ma’rib governorate, and Byhan and Asilan districts in Shabwa governorate, a wave of mass exodus of thousands of families from those villages and districts arose.

She pointed out that 93,000 of the displaced settled in Al-Madina and Al-Wadi districts in the Ma'rib governorate, while 1,800 people went to the Al-Abar border area of the Hadhramaut governorate, and 900 people settled in the cities of Sayun and Al-Qatn in Wadi Hadramawt, while 133 of them arrived in Al-Mahra governorate.
