Aden, NewsYemen:

The Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, announced in Yemen, on Saturday, the implementation of 19 operations targeting the Houthi militia, on the western coast, to support the joint forces and protect civilians.

The coalition said in a statement, reported by the Saudi Press Agency, "SPA", that the West Coast operations targeted a command and control center for the Houthi militia, and a location for storing and directing drones.

The coalition added: "We support the operations of the Yemeni forces on the western coast outside the Stockholm Agreement texts."

The coalition operations came, while units of the joint forces took control of new areas, south of Hodeidah, and in the western countryside of Taiz Governorate, after violent battles against the Houthi militia.

Field sources reported that units of the Third Republic’s Guards forces took control of the entrances to Al-Barah and imposed fiery control over the city, coinciding with the arrival of the 2nd Giants Brigade to Mount Al-Ruwayna, the entrance to Shamir Road.

The sources pointed out that the Third Brigade, the Republic's guards, tightened its grip on strategic areas, including the Al-Araf mountains overlooking Hays and Al-Barah, and advanced to the southern entrance to the latter's market.

On Thursday, the joint forces tightened their grip on the ruling mountains south and east of Al-Barah.

Meanwhile, the Eighth Brigade, the Republic's Guards, took control of the village of Al-Qudhaiba, 2 km south of the Tohami coast, which is planted with thousands of Houthi mines.

The field advances and victories achieved by the joint forces on the west coast, after their expiry date, come from the trap of the Stockholm Agreement that restricted their movement three years ago.

On Friday, the joint forces cut a major supply line for the Houthi militia between three governorates, and took control of a number of strategic areas and mountains, south of Hodeidah and west of Taiz, after violent battles.

The joint forces launched a military operation, and liberated, on its first day, a mountain range and strategic positions in the "Hais" front, on the administrative borders of the governorates of Ibb, Taiz and Hodeidah, in western Yemen.

A wide attack carried out by specific units, from several axes, managed to purify the areas of Saqm, Al-Mahajar, Al-Jabalin and other strategic areas in the east, north and northwest of Hais, where the Houthi militia has been stationed for the past seven years.

The joint forces purified Jabal Omar and the Al-Awwaj mountain range, east of Hais, and cut the Hais - Al-Udain - Ibb road, which is the most important supply line for the Houthi militia, to areas south of Hodeidah and the western countryside of Taiz.

Jabal Omar, from which the Houthi militia was defeated, overlooks the asphalt line that connects Hays and the Mahjar area to the brick factory.

According to field sources, Houthi snipers who were stationed in this strategic mountain and the hills overlooking the line, were killed by joint forces' fire during the battle to liberate it.
