The Transitional Council receives the Ambassador of Norway: The return of the south as an independent country is the radical solution to Yemen's problems

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, stressed that the council was and will remain an effective partner for the international community at various levels, noting the pivotal role played by the Southern Transitional Council and its forces in the process of securing international shipping lines in Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden.
This came during the reception of Al-Zubaidi and his accompanying delegation, on Saturday morning, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, His Excellency Thomas Led Bull, and his assistant, Sayn Gillin.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Leader reviewed the efforts made to complete the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement and highlighted the challenges and difficulties facing the process of implementing the remainder of it on the ground, praising the tireless efforts made by the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to push for the completion of the implementation of the agreement.
The Leader discussed with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the south due to the repercussions of the economic crisis, stressing the importance of concerted international efforts to stop the accelerating economic collapse that threatens the lives of millions of people in the south and Yemen.
He also discussed the most important humanitarian interventions implemented by the Kingdom of Norway in the liberated areas of the south and ways to enhance the humanitarian support provided by the Norwegian government through the United Nations and its bodies.
He reiterated the position of the Transitional Council in support of the government of parity between the south and the north, and the efforts of the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, stressing the importance of designing a comprehensive peace process that ends the conflict in the region, in which the Southern Transitional Council would be a pivotal partner, and the issue of the people of the south would be one of its most important priorities.
He stressed that the radical solution to Yemen's problems lies in the return of the south to its previous status as an independent, sovereign state on the pre-1990 borders.
For his part, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway expressed his happiness to meet with the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, to discuss developments in the political, humanitarian and military situation in the country, and ways to unify efforts to address the economic and living crisis, and support the government of parity to carry out its duties towards the citizens, stressing his country’s keenness to push for the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement and unify efforts To meet challenges at all levels.
