Aden, NewsYemen:

The leader of the Southern Transitional Council, Anis Al-Sharafi, considered that the Houthi threat in Shabwa and Abyan calls for the return of the southern forces from the western coast to secure the south.

Al-Sharafi said on his Facebook account, that the content of the statement of the joint forces on the West Coast indicates that legitimacy is the one who hindered the progress of the joint forces to liberate Hodeidah, and it still adheres to the Stockholm Agreement and has not taken a decision to end it.

He stressed that the Brotherhood in the legitimacy is pressing the joint forces to advance towards Hodeidah to put them under the penalty of Security Council sanctions, while the legitimacy itself is more appropriate to end the work of the agreement and direct the joint forces to advance under the responsibility of legitimacy and not sacrifice the leadership of those forces, and they remain partners in the gains, innocent of losses.

The STC leader said that what is happening in the south, specifically in Shabwa and Abyan, in addition to Marib, makes the south more in need of the southern forces, and therefore what is the reason for them to remain idle in Hodeidah in light of the increasing dangers facing the south.

He pointed out that the Houthi brotherhood led to a retreat from the outskirts of Sanaa for more than 200 km, handing over Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda, and Bayhan Shabwa districts, coinciding with the growing crowds of the Houthis and the Brotherhood in the border belt between the south and the north. Therefore, it became necessary for all southern forces to return and direct them to protect and secure the south.

He stressed that the south supported and supported any real and effective northern resistance against al-Houthi and terrorism, as much as it could, adding, "The southerners will not replace the northerners, but the north must liberate its sons."

Al-Sharafi stressed the need to secure the south with southern forces and not with the northern Brotherhood forces perched over the southern oil wells in Shabwa, Wadi Hadramawt and Al-Mahra.
