Shabwa, NewsYemen:

An officer in the Ataq axis, in Shabwa governorate (southeast of Yemen), revealed new information regarding the exclusion operations practiced by the Brotherhood against regular officers and soldiers, and their replacement with elements of his followers.

Colonel Ahmed Abdullah Awad, commander of the 2nd Battalion in the 2nd Brigade, Mountainous Infantry, appeared in a video recording, published on Wednesday, in which he spoke about the practices of the local and military leaders of the Brotherhood in Shabwa, against officers and soldiers affiliated with units not loyal to the organization.

Colonel Awad said that the Brotherhood, led by the governor, Muhammad Saleh bin Adyo, "confiscated our military tasks and assigned them to students and teachers in primary schools."

He stressed that the Brotherhood marginalized and dismissed the officers from their military jobs and replaced them with members of the Islah Party in the province.

While the military official said that the Islah party had colluded in handing over the three Bayhan districts to the Houthi militia without a fight, adding that the Brotherhood "used weapons against the citizens of Shabwa in the Al-Alam camp instead of using it against the Houthis."

He pointed out that the Brotherhood's militia used heavy weapons, including cannons, in the attack on the camp located in Jardan District, northeast of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa Governorate.

The military official demanded, Interim President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, and the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia, to dismiss and hold Muslim Brotherhood leaders accountable for their complicity in handing over Bayhan and pushing Shabwa to this deteriorating situation.
