I lived with Mahmoud Al-Otmi in Mocha for about four months. The martyr Nabil Al-Quaiti was the one who introduced me to him and his residence.

I shared the rent with him for the rooms they rented after escaping from the Houthi oppression in 2018. He was arrested and distressed while he was still studying at the University of Hodeidah.

His laughter reverberated in my head from the moment I heard the news.

And the picture of him in the hospital blows me away, as if I can see with his facial expressions what I could not describe from the scenes of the crime that he saw as she killed his wife and her fetus, and I wished I was next to him to say to him: Hold on, God saved your son “Jawad” who was not with you at the moment of fate.

Mahmoud and his friends, who were gathered in Mocha after escaping from Hodeidah, are the first media team in confronting the Houthi wars on the ground.

They are not known by the media disintegration generation, and they are mostly behind the cameras.

A united fighting group living together in all dangers, I lived with them a unique experience and like I have never known anyone like them.

Mahmoud is not just a photographer, and this young man is a friend and brother to every media person who has been displaced from Hodeidah.

He travels with his car dozens of kilometers if he hears of a problem that has occurred to one of them.

My last meeting with him, he arrived at my office in Mocha from Aden in pursuit of a dear friend who had a problem.

He roams with this fighting car all over the regions, not only professionally but also as a friend and brother.

"Jawad" as his son, brave, simple and persistent... Words have no value, words have no value.

His cameras immortalized the tragedies of Yemenis in their materials published by UNICEF and UNESCO, their fronts, their courage and their pain in international agencies and Arab and international televisions.

Al-Houthi knows who Mahmoud is, and most of us do not.

Al-Houthi is one of the evils of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, and Hassan Irloo and the hit squads in Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen are nothing but a dirtier version of Al-Qaeda.

The war fronts reveal a Houthi-Al-Qaeada coordination, as all of them passed through Iran and were raised there.

Mahmoud is fine, but his heart is wretched, his comrades are in pain, and the crime is heinous.

Damn you, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, with your ignorance and ambitions for terrorist domination.

As for your comrades Mahmoud, Marwan, Hael, Ashraf and Abdullah, and in Mocha Khaled and Ismail, with them Mujahid, and Sayyaf, who shared with you the underground residence of Mocha..

And every name and cause to which your cars, your souls and your money were moved... We are the owners of a right and a cause, so let the Houthi drink from our blood as he wants, he will suffer as we suffer, and we hope in religion and this world from God a homeland, freedom and dignity that they do not hope for.

Your memory will suffer from the scenes of Abdulmalik al-Houthi, the Iranian al-Qaeda terrorist, burning your partner and her fetus.

I see it in the expressions of your face lying in the hospital.

I know how much it hurts you to be unable to save anyone, so how about your wife and son.

I know how painful it is for condolences, how ridiculous, empty, and hollow words of condolences are.

I know how painful it is for a person to try to save you from the remains of your loved one by the instinct of a collective human being.

But I do not console you.. I promise the blood that has been shed.

We will hold on, my friend.. Our blood is the blood of Yemenis wasted in Amran, Hajjah and Sana'a.

Yemeni blood that Houthi spills everywhere..

And we are destined to face.

And God will gather us with those we love and move to Him.

Believe me, for sure, that whoever died does not feel the pain of the event as the living sees it.

And it is not possible not to survive the fate.
