An international report monitors an alarming number of civilians killed and wounded as a result of the escalation of the war in Yemen

The United Nations said that 170 civilians, including 70 children, were killed, and 359 others injured, in Yemen, as a result of the escalating conflict, during the third quarter of this year 2021.

And it indicated, in a report issued by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, that "529 people were killed as a result of the ongoing conflict in Yemen during the third quarter of this year, July-August-September."

The report added, "These victims include 170 dead and 359 wounded, including 70 children and 41 women," stressing that "September alone was the deadliest month, during which 233 civilians were killed and injured."

He pointed out that "civilians in Yemen continue to bear the brunt of the conflict in its seventh year."
