The recent government meeting in Aden revealed indications of a different trend towards managing the battle against the Houthi militia, after it is now on the walls of the city of Marib and the sources of oil and gas.

The program includes evaluating the military and security situations and controlling and organizing everything related to the administrative, financial and logistical aspects of the battle in coordination with the Joint Forces Command.
The government’s talk about a work program and plan in this detail on the military side is a precedent of its kind, after the management of the military file remained the monopoly of Deputy General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar since his appointment more than 5 years ago.
The old general and the Brotherhood’s management of the military file had its first fruits, a complete stagnation of the legitimate fronts, before this stalemate turned into a series of suspicious fall in the hands of the Houthi militia, especially during the past two years.
The fall of the fronts of legitimacy coincided with talk about Saudi Arabia drastically reducing the financial support provided to the military side, which was passing through General Al-Ahmar, after internal investigations conducted by Saudi Arabia revealed massive corruption in this file involving senior Saudi military leaders headed by the commander of the joint forces of the coalition. However, the indications are counterproductive, and that Saudi Arabia will turn, during the next stage, to rely on the military side, away from the influence of the Brotherhood and General Al-Ahmar, which explains his recent media appearance in the Saudi newspaper Okaz, which seemed like a desperate attempt to beg from Al-Ahmar to Saudi Arabia to maintain a role for him in the military scene
