Taiz, NewsYemen:

Recent official statistics estimated the number of children currently involved in fighting in the Houthi ranks at 20,000.

Reports from the Ministry of Human Rights in the legitimate government confirmed that the child soldiers were distributed in about 2,500 camps on different fronts and areas under the control of the Houthis.

Reports by local and international organizations confirmed the killing of thousands of children who were being attracted by the Houthis to join the fighting fronts. Many of them are deceived, misled and kidnapped without the knowledge of their families.

The areas under the control of the Houthis are witnessing a full alert, especially schools, to take children to the so-called “cultural courses” or “summer centers”, for sectarian and religious mobilization, where children are brainwashed and then pushed to the front lines.

Activists confirmed that a number of children who are terrified of the fierce battles and demand to return to their families are being liquidated by the militia, as happened with about 18 children who were finished off after being dragged by a supervisor to a house under construction, at the back of one of the Marib fronts.  The house was blown up on the children's heads at dawn while they were sleeping.

The areas under the control of the Houthis are witnessing children dropping out of school, thousands of them have been pushed into battles and camps, and some have entered the labor market to provide the necessary sustenance for their families due to the difficult conditions and the loss of the jobs of heads of families, and those who remain in schools are mobilized with sectarian concepts and loyalty to the group in light of an amalgamated sectarian approach the teachers imposed by the group indoctrinate the children to inculcate sectarianism in them, which makes their joining the militia centers and the battle fronts a matter of time.
