Medical sources in the city of Al-Hawban in Taiz governorate said that the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, imposed sums of money on every doctor or pharmacy owner working within the framework of its control, whether within the city of Al-Hawban or at the level of the directorates under its control, and others on the owners and owners of pharmacies under its control. The name of supporting the celebration events for the birth of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
The sources added to NewsYemen: The Houthi militia, through the governorate’s health office, imposed on each doctor who has a private clinic, or the owner of a pharmacy, an amount ranging between (250-300) riyals, justifying the doctors’ contribution to reviving the celebrations of the Prophet’s birthday that she held on Monday.
According to the sources, the collection of these sums was carried out by recipients affiliated with the militias and through the health offices in the districts, according to oral directives issued by the health office in the governorate. Medical and professional standards if they refuse to hand over those levies.
According to the sources, these levies, estimated at tens of millions of riyals, come within similar levies that include all private sector institutions, merchants, private schools and universities, private hospitals, and all owners of projects and small and medium enterprises such as carpentry and blacksmith shops and car repair workshops ... and others.
