The army and tribes regain strategic positions south of Marib

 Tribesmen and government forces, with large air support from Arab coalition fighters, regained, on Tuesday, strategic locations between the districts of Al-Juba and Harib in the Marib Governorate, eastern Yemen, after fierce battles with the Houthi militia.

Tribal sources told NewsYemen that the government forces and tribesmen liberated the areas of "Jabal Budaiya, Al-Matna, and Al-Masil" in the vicinity of the "Wasit" area, which were completely secured, noting that the battles are still continuing.

The sources stated that the Houthi militia was in a state of confusion after the failure of its large-scale attack on the Juba district, despite sending large numbers of fighters and military vehicles into the area.

 It pointed out that the Arab coalition fighters had inflicted heavy human and material losses on the militia in Al-Juba.

 The Ministry of Defense website announced that the Houthis had failed to make any progress in Al-Juba, and had incurred huge human and material losses in lives and equipment, in addition to the surrender of a group of their elements.

 He pointed out that the coalition fighters destroyed an armored vehicle and heavy weapons for the militias in the "Aqaba" area, and in the vicinity of the Harib and Al-Abdiya districts.
