Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

As soon as the domestic gas crisis in the capital, Sanaa, ends, it returns again due to the deliberate policies of the gas company run by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen.

A week ago, the capital, Sanaa, has witnessed a severe crisis in domestic gas after the militias provided this substance before and during the holiday at a price of (7800) riyals per cylinder.  Through statements sent to it from Egal Al-Harat, while the gas distribution process at a price of (4700) riyals, which was carried out through Egal Al-Harat, stopped, forcing citizens to buy gas at the price imposed by the militias at the stations, and at the same time with the emergence of a black market for gas, where the price of gas cylinders reached  This market during Eid al-Adha to 14 thousand riyals.

The Houthi militias use household gas as a political card to mobilize for the sectarian events they organize, as happened in the so-called Ghadeer Day event, and other of their private activities, and also as a means of blackmail by putting pressure on the head of the neighborhoods to implement their demands for mobilization, as well as collecting donations from citizens under the names of  He linked this to obtaining domestic gas cylinders, and at the same time, a material for trading through a black market that allows it to appear and carry out its work in full view of the militia leaders and the gas company they run.

In an unprecedented scene, the Houthi militia turned the commodity of domestic gas into a material for a racist practice in distribution operations, as it allocated some lanes in three districts within the capital, namely Tahrir, Al-Safia and the old Sana’a, and gas cylinders were distributed in them to some lanes at a price of (3700) riyals, as it confirms  Local sources told NewsYemen that the distribution operations that took place in these districts included only some neighborhoods, which are where Houthi leaders live and reside.

Although the gas stations have been open since before Eid al-Adha until the end of last week and sell the cylinder at a price of (7800) riyals, the crisis of the disappearance of gas appeared suddenly and without warning.

Since the beginning of this week, the militia-controlled gas company has begun to reduce the quantities of stations that sell gas to transport vehicles, even those that were allowed to sell gas to citizens through the eqal lanes, while the quantities of domestic gas granted to citizens through eqal lanes have been reduced to their lowest limits, as some  The neighborhoods receive gas once during the month, and one cylinder share for each citizen during the month.

Sources in the militia-controlled gas company told NewsYemen that the militia leaders deliberately created the gas crisis at this time, because it comes with the approaching date of the beginning of the new school year, as announced by the Houthi Ministry of Education, which will start in mid-August, and as it is known, many (transportation buses)  Private schools, or rented by parents to transport their children to schools, use gas.

added: This crisis, which has suddenly emerged, will force many owners and drivers of student buses to buy gas by any means in order to ensure that their obligations with schools and with parents are fulfilled.  About 18,000 riyals during the last two days, with the possibility that the price will rise in the coming days if the fabricated gas crisis continues.

Muhammad al-Raymi, owner of a bus to transport school students, told NewsYemen: The gas crisis that the capital is currently witnessing is fabricated and its goal is to provide an opportunity for black market sales to flourish.  The day is inside the capital, at the prices that the merchants of this market want, without the relevant authorities, especially the gas company, exercising any measures to prevent this market.

Al-Rimi agrees with those who argue that the Houthi militia leaders were involved in fabricating the gas crisis to justify the emergence of the black market, which they finance with this substance and sell it at double prices, thus reaping imaginary profits.  Every crisis appears at the prices they want, and I have previously purchased gas for my bus from some of them.
