A government comment on the continued kidnapping of the leader "Abdul Moneim Sheikh"

 The Ministry of Social Affairs and Human Rights condemned all the kidnappings of a number of leaders in Aden.

In a statement to the media, Minister Arman said, "In addition to being grave crimes punishable by law and alien to our society, kidnapping for political reasons is a condemned act that cannot be justified, including the kidnapping of Abdel Moneim Sheikh, the brother of the leader of the Transitional Council, Abdul Rahman Sheikh."

Arman called on all parties, especially the Ministry of Interior and the rest of the security services and all official institutions to play their role in releasing him and all the abductees, and referring the perpetrators and those responsible for these crimes to the judiciary to receive their just punishment.

The ministry also called on all components to condemn the crime of kidnapping in all its forms, and to cooperate and unite to end these crimes.

It is noteworthy that the brother of the leader of the Transitional Council, Abdul Rahman Al-Sheikh, was kidnapped in front of his house in the Mansoura district of the capital, Aden, months ago.

The Brotherhood leader, Amjad Khaled, the leader of the Brotherhood's Transportation Brigade, later confessed to being behind the kidnapping, in an audio recording, and said that he would be released before the release of elements involved in terrorist operations affiliated with him, detained with the STC.
