Ibb, NewsYemen, private:

From year to year, the market offers and the daily needs of the citizen increase, including what he needs on occasions such as the sacrifice and Eid clothes, but the demand is constantly declining.

This year, on the morning of Eid, people stood in long queues in front of butcher shops, looking for a kilo or two of meat in abundance, after the streets and alleys of the city were filled with the blood of sacrifices.

Youssef Abdel Hamid.  He says this is the case in most of the areas controlled by the militia, the markets are full of sacrifices, whether of cows or sheep, but the buying process is completely absent.

Add.  Because of the war and the situation, Eid has become a day like all other days. Rather, it has more worries and commitments that we are not able to.

He concludes by saying.  Even the joy of children is shaken no longer as we used to, many of them are aware of what is going on despite their young age.

Back to the countryside

The feast was an area of hope that many citizens would return to spend their days in the countryside, but as a result of the high prices and the interruption of salaries, many refrained from performing these rituals.

Mohammed Al-Ahdal.  A father who supports an entire family of 5 children said, “This year has changed.”  What we were able to do last year we couldn't achieve this year.

We hardly managed to provide children's clothes and household essentials from necessary food items, even visiting the park with the children is still a thought.

He concluded by saying.  The price hike is killing people, there is no longer any value for the riyal, every day we witness a change in prices with the continued absence of the salary.

Ibrahim Ashqin is an expatriate.  He said I don't know whether to laugh or grieve?  Citizens in the village of Al-Daff, one of the villages of the Ibb countryside district, on the morning of Eid al-Adha, woke up to the news of the theft of their sacrifice.

added.  Citizens completed the rituals of prayer and returned to slaughter the sacrifice and did not find it, it cost them 700 thousand riyals!  It happens in the era of the militia.

The summary of Eid under the militia’s control is similar inside Yemeni homes, and the concern about tomorrow is the people’s mind and thinking, the livelihood, the change of curricula, and the influence of the new security services.
