Lamlas inaugurates the work of the community committees on a regular basis

Aden, NewsYemen:

 The Governor of Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, announced, on Tuesday, the work of the community committees in an official, regular capacity.

 The Secretary-General of the Transitional Council said, at the inauguration ceremony of the community committees in Aden, which was held under the slogan "Empowering community committees in development and maintaining public tranquility", that the committees carry out security service work to preserve public and private property and maintain security, and it consists of all spectrums of society, and its members.  They differ in their orientations, but their affiliation with Aden."

He praised the responsibility that falls on the shoulders of the leaders of the community committees, wishing that the activities of the committees would be effective and in coordination with all the authorities in their areas of work.

He directed all civil, military and security agencies to formally deal with the community committees and to adopt their official seal.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Director General of the Capital Police, Brigadier General Abu Bakr Jabr, members of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Lotfi Shatara and Niran Souki, Nizar Haitham, Aden Transitional Chief, directors of the directorates, and a large gathering of citizens.
