The joint forces repel a Houthi attack south of Hodeidah

 On Saturday, the joint forces broke an attack by the Houthi militia, the arm of Iran in Yemen, which it carried out from the northeastern side of the city of Hais in Hodeidah, and the militias suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment.

A military source told NewsYemen that the joint forces broke a Houthi attack carried out by infiltrators from their locations in the "Qassem Hussein farm" and the villages of Bani Zuhair and Al-Basima, north-east of the city.

The source added that the Houthi attack was accompanied by intense shelling, and the forces clashed with the infiltrating elements with various weapons, and lasted about an hour, while the militias attempted to penetrate the front lines of the joint forces, but to no avail.

The source confirmed that units of the 7th Giants Brigade, led by Brigadier General Ali Al-Kunaini, managed to achieve direct hits towards the attacking elements, and the forces' strikes caused a number of Houthi dead and wounded.

He pointed out that the bodies of the militias' dead are still lying under trees and valleys, while the rest of them escaped, dragging the tails of disappointment and defeat, and the Houthi attack ended in complete failure in front of the vigilance of the joint forces.
