Aden Electricity Corporation launched an awareness campaign aimed at identifying and combating the risks and damages of direct random cable connection and double connection via two power lines.
The random connection causes fire accidents in a large proportion, and the largest share of them was in the city of Aden, the Crater area, where there were many fires that claimed the lives of many citizens, in addition to completely destroying their homes.
The Crater area, "Al Taweelah" neighborhood, witnessed two days ago a huge fire broke out in one of the wooden houses, which helped spread the flames insanely, and claimed the life of a disabled elderly person.
Citizens praised the speedy movement of a number of firefighting vehicles to avoid the fire, but the crowded streets and narrow slums lanes impeded the early arrival of the firefighters.
