Aden, NewsYemen, special:

Late last month, the official news agency "Saba" announced that President Hadi had gone to the United States of America to "conduct his usual periodic medical examinations," which raised doubts about the health of the 75-year-old man who suffers from chronic heart problems.

Although Hadi’s departure to America for treatment is not the first during the years of his rule, which is close to its first decade, it raises questions about the arrangements for the situation within the legitimacy camp in the event of his sudden death in light of a complex political, military and economic scene.

In theory, MP Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar will take over the reins of affairs to succeed Hadi in the event of his sudden death, which threatens with unexpected repercussions, given the man's refusal to meet with various forces inside and outside legitimacy, with the exception of the Brotherhood only.

It was the group that pressured President Hadi to appoint him as his deputy in early April of 2016 , after it convinced him that his deputy, Khaled Bahah, was planning with the Americans to overthrow him by imposing (Bahah) as a consensual president to stop the war in Yemen.

At that time, the decision met with widespread objection from various forces within the legitimacy, firstly, because the man was associated with bloody files during the past decades, and secondly, because his appointment allowed him to be imposed as president in the event of Hadi’s death while he was in office.

Recently, there have been indications that the man has already started preparing for this, including the recent events in the city of Lauder in Abyan, which revealed a scheme for Al-Ahmar to limit Hadi’s influence in his governorate by getting rid of his men, as the southern journalist Saleh Abu Awdal sees in his article about the Lauder events.

Abu Odal says that Vice President Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar believes that it is important today to tell the story of Hadi’s wings in Abyan, noting that he succeeded in removing many leaders loyal to Hadi, taking advantage of his influence in the presidency and the support he obtains from several regional parties.

He adds: Al-Ahmar believes that he can reach the presidency as a successor to Hadi, the way the latter reached the presidency, and the removal of Hadi lies in stripping him of all sources of power.  For Hadi, but for red.

In this context, the report published by "Akhbar Al-Youm" newspaper, known as one of Al-Ahmar's media tools, was remarkable, in which it launched an unprecedented attack against President Hadi, saying that "it has become an obstacle to any solutions to the crisis and to stop the war."

The newspaper's report, which was published last Monday, referred to the study published last month by the Sana'a Center for Strategic Studies on the formation of a presidential council in Yemen, and claimed that it reflects an international trend to form the council as an alternative to Hadi.

The newspaper also claimed that there is a supportive and supportive American orientation towards the proposal to form a Yemeni presidential council, adding: With complete conviction that President Hadi, whose legitimacy is internationally recognized, has become the crisis and the obstacle to any solutions to the crisis and to stop the war, according to what is being circulated.

It is noteworthy that the newspaper quoted verbatim the violent attack included in the center’s report against President Hadi, in which he said that “Hadi is widely viewed as an incompetent statesman, as he lacks domestic legitimacy, and his presidency was characterized by perpetuating corruption that members of his inner circle exploited to enrich themselves.”

The center's report is in itself one of the indicators of the Brotherhood's tendency to arrange the post-Hadi phase, as activists assert that the center receives support from prominent Brotherhood businessman Ahmed Al-Essa, who also holds the position of deputy director of Hadi's office.

Al-Essi himself had openly expressed his desires to succeed Hadi in an interview published by the center last March, where he responded to a question by the center about his candidate for the presidency of Yemen in the event of agreement on a new president or in the event of the death of President Hadi, that he considers himself more deserving of this position.

Al-Eisi and Al-Ahmar’s disclosure of their desires to succeed Hadi. Observers consider it an explanation for the dispute that erupted between Al-Eisi and the Shabwa Brotherhood authority, which suddenly canceled the agreement with him to operate the Qena port, which opened early this year away from government supervision.

Noting that this came on orders from Al-Ahmar, who entered into an open war against Al-Eisi, which was revealed by Al-Eisi's return to importing oil derivatives through Aden instead of the port of Qena and forcing him to pay taxes and customs for what he imports, which is unprecedented.

Also noteworthy were the accusations made by Brotherhood activists through social media sites for Al-Eisi that he financed the activities of the STC supporters that were suppressed by the Shabwa Brotherhood authorities, on Wednesday, in an indication of a dangerous escalation of the conflict between the two men.
