Sana'a, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The decision of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, to seize the funds of Al-Tadamun Islamic Bank in order to pressure the bank to hand it over one billion Saudi riyals deposited by interim President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi in his own account in 2012.

It raised many questions about the reasons for the delay of the Houthi militia in taking the decision, despite its knowledge of the existence of the account of President Hadi in the Tadhamon Bank since its coup against the authority and its control of state institutions on September 21, 2014.

Well-informed political sources in the capital, Sanaa, told NewsYemen that the Houthi militia had known about the existence of the accounts of President Hadi and some of his relatives since its coup, and that it postponed taking any decisions regarding the seizure of it for political reasons and justifications, most notably the presence of cases of hidden cooperation and coordination between some leaders of the Houthi militia and elements affiliated with it, which manages the side.

The economic and investment for militias, especially outside Yemen, and some personalities close to Hadi’s family, specifically from his son Jalal, who manage the funds and investments of Hadi, his children and relatives.

The sources added that the personalities who manage the investments and trade of Houthi militias outside Yemen, most notably the personalities against whom sanctions have been imposed by the US Treasury Department, were constantly communicating with Hadi’s relatives and those close to his son Jalal, in order to obtain government facilities and permits to allow them to bring their imports into the country.

On top of that, oil derivatives ships, and some other industrial goods related to military uses and the manufacture of drones, in return for providing financial commissions in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to obtain these statements, while at the same time silence about the financial accounts of President Hadi and his relatives inside Yemen.

According to the sources, what confirms this is that the militias, despite their confiscation of the money and property of many legitimate leaders before and after their trial and death sentences, but the silence of the militias on Hadi’s financial accounts in banks despite the issuance of a death sentence confirms the information about the hidden coordination relationship between his relatives and those who manage his investments, leaders and traders of militias, where the two parties combine the interests of financial gain away from political differences.

The sources did not rule out linking the timing of the militias’ decision to seize the funds deposited in the Tadhamon Bank in the name of President Hadi, amounting to one billion Saudi riyals, and the decision of sanctions approved by the US Treasury Department against leaders and companies used by the Houthi militia to manage their investments and carry out money laundering operations for the Houthis, noting that  The Americans may be behind instructing, through a third party - perhaps Omanis - the Houthi militias to take the decision in order to expose Hadi’s theft of the financial grant provided by the late Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to Yemen, estimated at one billion Saudi riyals, and transferring it to himself and depositing it in his name personally, as part of the pressure exerted by the US administration on  Both sides of legitimacy and the Houthis to go towards a political settlement.

Although the Houthi militia’s decision to seize Tadhamon Bank’s funds comes in the context of the measures taken by the militias with the aim of looting and stealing people’s money and deposits, whether in the banking field or otherwise, and it will have economic consequences on the economic situation in the capital, Sana’a, and the militias’ control areas, but the disclosure of the establishment of President Hadi  By stealing the Saudi grant and depositing it in his name, it raised many questions and question marks about the scale of theft and looting practiced and practiced by President Hadi and those who lead the legitimate authority since 2011 until today, and even more so since the beginning of the Decisive Storm led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE against the Houthi militias and the amount of funds provided by the coalition to support legitimacy and its fate  And is the corruption practiced by Hadi and those with him the first reason for their failure to defeat the militias, despite the unprecedented support regionally and internationally during the past seven years.
