Taiz, NewsYemen:

The internationally recognized legitimate government has recently changed its rhetoric toward the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, despite the continuation of the supposed war between the two parties against the backdrop of the Houthi group's coup against the state.

The legitimate government, represented by its Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed a new orientation of their authority residing outside the country towards the Houthi group, which controls the northern governorates and controls the largest population mass in the country.

Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak said, in a press conference with the German Foreign Minister, last Thursday, in Berlin that the government recognizes the Houthis as a major party in the Yemeni equation, pointing out that this is their political position since the war began.

This unprecedented statement indicates that the diplomacy of the state of Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, residing in Riyadh, has begun a change in its discourse toward the Houthis, in line with the American trend in Yemen, and in their view it is no longer a tool of Iran, but rather has become a key partner in the political equation.

Ibn Mubarak's statement came after the statement of the US envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, in which he affirmed his country's recognition of the United States of America, "the Houthis are a legitimate party in Yemen and a group that has made gains on the ground."

The US State Department reinforced the statement of its envoy, Tim Lenderking, by saying that the Houthi group controls the land and people, adding: "No one can remove them or take them out of the conflict through wishful thinking, so let's deal with the facts on the ground."
