Giants brigades liberate African detainees in Abyan

The Giants Brigades, in charge of peacekeeping, in Abyan governorate, said on Tuesday that it managed to free dozens of African migrants who had been held in a smuggler's house for five days without water and food.

The Giants Media Center said: On Tuesday, we received a report that a smuggler had illegally detained dozens of African women and men in his home.

The statement, which was published on the official Giants website, added that the smugglers were given a deadline to release the detainees, in order to avoid clashing with them, since the area in which they are holding the Africans is considered a former conflict zone between the STC and the legitimacy forces.

He stressed that the Giants forces coordinated with the transitional and legal processes regarding the detainees after the deadline, and their location was reached, and they were liberated from the grip of the smugglers who fled.
