Aden, NewsYemen:

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, changed the name of the Nashwan Al-Hamiri government school in the capital, Sanaa, and replaced it with the name of one of its dead members.

Nashwan Al-Himiari, is a Yemeni judge, politician, historian and writer, who wrote on the history of the donkey kings, and was famous for his pride in his right and his opposition to the “imamate” and the myth of “the two stomachs.”

The Houthi militia issued a decision through the Education Office in the Capital Secretariat to change the name of "Nashwan Al-Himiari" school to "Hani Tomer" school, a gunman from Saada Governorate, who was recently killed in Al-Jawf Governorate.

The move comes in the context of the Houthi militia's systematic plan to obliterate the Yemeni identity and undermine the symbols of Yemen, through a series of measures that included changing the names of schools and streets in Sanaa and other governorates under its control.
