The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has resorted to fabricating funny pretexts, in an effort to hide the danger it poses to international navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait, using Iranian-made naval mines.

After it had denied, through its military spokesman, Yahya Saree', that a network of naval mines had been planted on Hanish Island, the Houthi militia returned to marketing light lies to cover its involvement in targeting international shipping.

On June 7, the joint forces found a network of naval mines planted by the Houthi militia in the Seoul area of the Hanish archipelago, with a deliberate design sufficient to detonate large areas in front of the movement of ships.

The forces explained that the network consists of two barrels with a capacity of 200 liters installed via wires from a bolt to a detonator at the bottom of the sea, at a depth of 16 meters, and between the barrel and the other a wire network 450 meters from the land.

The joint forces indicated that the quality of the attached mines confirmed that they are one of the weapons known to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
