On Tuesday, a Houthi militia court in Sanaa issued a death sentence against activist Zaafaran Zayed and her husband, Fouad Al-Mansoori, on charges of kidnapping the girl Buthaina Al-Rimi, who was injured in a wrong air strike in August 2017.
Houthi media reported that the Criminal Court in Sanaa (abolished by a decision of the Supreme Judicial Council in Aden), sentenced Fuad Thabet Al-Mansoori and Zaafaran Mohammed Zayed to death penalty in Al-Sabeen Square, and crucifixion for three days.
The Houthi court considered the transfer of the girl Buthaina Al-Rimi for treatment in Saudi Arabia as an attempt to kidnap, despite the return of Buthaina to Sanaa after receiving full health care in the Kingdom.
