The kidnapping of a brigade commander days after he refuted the allegations of Houthi control of border areas

On Sunday, military sources reported the kidnapping of a brigade commander of the legitimate forces at the rank of brigadier general, in an ambush set by gunmen in the desert of Al-Jawf Governorate, days after he appeared on satellite channels, denying the Houthi militia's allegations of its control of border areas with Saudi Arabia.

The sources said that the gunmen took the Qatari Brigadier General in a car to an unknown location, noting that the kidnapped person was visiting his family.
The kidnapping comes days after Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Qatifi appeared on Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath channel from the Qataber area in Saada Governorate, denying the Houthi militia's allegations of carrying out a military operation and crossing from it to Jazan, southern Saudi Arabia.
