Aden, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The case of Yemeni journalist Adnan Al-Rajhi showed the extent of the injustice he was subjected to by the party he used to work for, which is the Belqis channel owned by Nobel owner Tawakkol Karman and supported by the Qatari regime.

Al-Rajhi was not only excluded and marginalized, but was arrested in 2018 by the Turkish authorities at the instructions of the Yemeni Brotherhood, to be released while he is suffering from paraplegia.

Journalist Jamal Hassan, writing on his Facebook page, says, “What happened to Adnan Al-Rajhi in Turkey and the channel he works for abandoned him, it is nothing but a picture of a colossal filth that was living among us. He was allowed to practice politics and influence, to leave spots of fungi that caused In the decaying of dreams created by the revolution, and through a flock that did not think they practiced propaganda and confusion, I wish some of them were interested in defending Al-Rajhi as I would try to deny Al-Dailami’s fatwa.

Jamal announced his sympathy with Al-Rajhi for what happened to him and described him as shameful, calling on all colleagues to defend him and stand by him.

Adding, "We are subject to the deficit of need, but it is that humility that climbed up and presented the world as a sticky ball through Noble, which buzzed the island as a defender of freedoms, that is colluding against an employee working for it."

He concluded by saying: "It is this decadent world that forged things and made the trifle shining with the lights. It is that force that was a scum and presented itself as a political, military and religious cannon, and it is nothing but a tumor that tamperes with the body of Yemen.

Journalists Syndicate condemns

For its part, the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate condemned what Al-Rajhi was subjected to, calling for compensation for the violations and torture that happened to him.

Al-Rajhi worked as an employee at Belqis TV before he was interrogated by Turkish security in June 2018 until January 2020, when he was arrested and tortured, which caused him a physical disability in his body.

According to a statement by the Syndicate of Journalists, Al-Rajhi complained that the channel with him had fallen short in his ordeal and that it was satisfied with appointing a lawyer for him until he left Turkey and paid the price of his departure ticket to Malaysia only.

The Syndicate, in turn, tried to communicate with the concerned party in order to disburse the man’s dues, support and compensate him for the material damage he suffered, represented by the interruption of his source of income, and physical damage represented by his exposure to partial paralysis as a result of the torture he was subjected to by the Turkish security. However, this was met with clear rigidity by the canal administration.

The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate and the International Federation of Journalists called for solidarity with colleague Al-Rajhi, and to demand the Turkish authorities to investigate these violations and to provide a safe environment for Yemeni journalists working in Turkey.

It should be noted that there are great and wide pressures by the Bilqis channel management on the channel staff not to make any statements or testimonies on the subject of their colleague.
