Inside a canteen to sell juices in the area of Najiba, north of Mokha, Abdul Karim stands smiling after he managed to open his own business. It is an expression of satisfaction after he was able to fulfill his dream.

Abdul Karim, about 20 years old, used to work for a low wage in a restaurant in the city of Hodeidah, but the decline in sales and impoverishment measures practiced by the Houthi militia against the commercial sector made his income diminish to a thousand riyals per day.

The blockage of the business horizon in Hodeidah caused him to think of leaving his site and returning to his hometown, to work in a restaurant serving meals.

Abdel-Karim says to NewsYemen, that his idea began two years ago when he returned from Hodeidah and found an opportunity to work in Najiba, where he worked as a worker in a restaurant for a daily wage throughout the last period to save part of the cost of the project that he intends to establish.

He adds that what he collected was not enough, so he borrowed an amount of money to set up the shop and buy work tools.

With a broad smile expressing his satisfaction with what he has achieved for the sake of his project, Abdul Karim believes that working in providing fresh juices to customers is an achievement that will soon change his life for the better. New.
