Al Houthi militia in Ibb shoot fans of a sports team

 The Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, shot fans of a local sports team in Ibb Governorate, central Yemen.

Local sources said that armed elements loyal to the Houthi militia shot fans of a local sports team in Dhi Al-Safal District, south of Ibb.

The sources confirmed that civilians were wounded, while they were exposed to gunfire, after the end of a football match in a local league in Al-Qaeda city.

It reported that a match in a local championship was being held a few days ago in Al-Qaeda, where a match took place between the "Al-Qassam" and "Al-Safna" teams, in which the Al-Qassam team won, and after the match ended, the oldest militants loyal to the militia and supporters of the defeated team shot the fans of the winning team.  In the middle of Al-Tadamon Square in Al-Qaeda city, in the presence of the "Al-Washli" leader, appointed by the militia as the security director of Dhul-Safal District.

According to the citizens, the Houthi militia allowed the entry of armed elements loyal to it into the stadium, which is what citizens warned against before the match, and the warning took place.


Eyewitnesses confirmed that among the injured was a citizen named "Muhammad Ismail" and another citizen, who was seriously injured, and was transferred to intensive care in a hospital in the governorate.

 This incident comes a few weeks after Houthi elements killed a sports star named "Habib Abdel Wahab Al-Sharabi", who participated in a sports tournament organized by the Education Office in the governorate.  “Saela Jableh,” south of the city of Ibb, after which he died, while the perpetrator is still protected by the Houthi leader until this moment.

The Ibb governorate is witnessing security chaos led by the Houthi militia, and with it, the intensity of crimes, murder, looting and robbery of citizens' property has increased in various directorates of the governorate.
