The US ambassador: The flow of Iranian weapons to the Houthis prolongs the suffering of the Yemenis

The US ambassador to Yemen, Christopher Hanzel, confirmed, on Tuesday, that the continuous flow of Iranian weapons to the Houthi militia prolongs the suffering of the Yemeni people and expands the conflict regionally.

The US ambassador said on his Twitter account: The US Navy recently intercepted a sailboat loaded with anti-tank guided missiles, thousands of rifles, hundreds of machine guns, sniper rifles, and grenade launchers.

Hanzal recalled previous objections to similar shipments that were directed towards the Houthis, noting that this influx prolongs the suffering of the Yemenis and widens the conflict, which has entered its seventh year.

On Saturday, the United States of America announced that the Fifth Naval Fleet had confiscated a massive shipment of Iranian weapons after it was seized on a ship in international waters in the Arabian Sea that was on its way to the Houthi militia in Yemen.
