The escape of a second batch of inmates from Baihan prison in Shabwa

Shabwa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

A number of prisoners escaped from inside the central prison in the Baihan district in Shabwa governorate, southeastern Yemen, in an incident that is the second of its kind within 60 days.

Local sources told "NewsYemen", that a number of prisoners accused of criminal cases and drug smuggling managed to escape from the central prison in the city of Baihan on Monday evening.

The sources suggested that the escape was orchestrated with the complicity of the prison administration loyal to the Islah party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.

It is noteworthy that a number of inmates of the Central Prison in the Baihan District escaped from the prison during March 2021
