Sana'a, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

There is nothing new in the "Jerusalem Day" activities organized by the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - that is not confirmed and proven, which is the organic link and the absolute support of the leadership of the Revolutionary Guard in Iran.

While most Arab and international countries are still suspending all events of meetings, conferences and public gatherings in order to preserve the lives of citizens in these countries and to abide by the teachings of the World Health Organization within a package of preventive measures against the covid-19 pandemic that is ravaging the world for the second year in a row, it continues - in return - Al Houthi militia is recklessness of the lives of people in Sanaa and the neighboring governorates.

Political sources in Sanaa revealed to (NewsYemen) that the leader of the Revolutionary Guards and the de facto ruler of Iran in Sanaa, Hassan Erlo, insisted on holding an event on Jerusalem Day by mobilizing citizens in public gatherings in Sanaa and a number of governorates where the Houthi militia is present, after objecting to a number of Officials of the local authorities who benefit from the Houthi militia.

The outcomes of the event repeated the contents of the usual mobilizing and political slogans in most Arab countries from decades ago, such as the slogans "affirming that Palestine is the central issue of the Yemeni people and the Arab and Islamic nation." And support for the Palestinian people until the restoration of all of their usurped lands and the establishment of their independent state on all of its lands, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

The Houthi speech on Jerusalem Day, May 7, was completely identical to a speech by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which renewed in a press statement on the occasion, "affirming that the Palestinian issue is the core and central issue of the Islamic world and that the choice of resistance is the way to liberate its lands from the Israeli occupation."

From the Lebanese capital Beirut, the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, commented on the Jerusalem Day event in Sana'a, saying that "Yemen is a qualitative addition to the resistance axis," claiming that "the Israelis today are concerned about the development of the capabilities of the resistance axis."

The striking irony remains the Iranian insistence on holding a Jerusalem Day event in Sana'a and not organizing such an event in Iran itself in order to protect the souls of the Iranians there, according to a joint statement issued by the Council of Experts on Leadership and Constitutional Maintenance in Iran on the occasion of International Jerusalem Day.

The statement pointed out that "the conditions resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic imposed this year not to organize popular rallies in Iran on the occasion of International Jerusalem Day, as in last year."

International Jerusalem Day is being celebrated on the last Friday of Ramadan in all parts of the world in solidarity with the Palestinian people, based on an initiative launched by the late Imam Khomeini in 1979.
