Taiz, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

A policeman was killed in Taiz Governorate at dawn today in clashes between a security group and gunmen affiliated with a field commander in the army in Taiz who was working with ISIS.

Sources told NewsYemen that a group of patrol police and members of the security police clashed with the gunmen of Hashem Al-San`ani, the former military commander of ISIS in Taiz, who currently belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood Army in Taiz.

In 2017, the Brotherhood authorities in Taiz announced the arrest of the military leader of ISIS in Taiz. Hashem Al-San`ani, along with 8 ISIS members, after the Abu Al-Abbas Al-San`ani Brigades were expelled from their squares.

The Islah party media celebrated the arrest of al-San`ani and described him as the prince of ISIS, but the announcement of his arrest at that time was to protect him from the Abu Abbas Brigades, which wanted to eliminate him along with his groups.

The sources indicated that a crew belonging to the Taiz security wanted to fill a bear of oil free of charge and by force from the Ibrahim Al-San`ani station, which he established in Aqaba near Sam Al-Ahlia School.

The sources said that the clashes resulted in the death and injury of Hashem Al-San`ani, who was transferred to Al-Thawra Hospital for treatment.

The clashes renewed to include Al-Jomhouri neighborhood and Al-Hindi neighborhood, and reached the gate of Al-Jomhori Hospital after armed men left the residential neighborhoods to support Al-San`ani in the face of the security campaign.

The sources indicated that the security campaign detonated the station in the second clash that took place at five in the morning, where the patrol police and the security of the governorate were reinforced with different forces, in addition to a group of army elements.

Hashem Al-San`ani had joined the 22nd Mika Brigade and fought in the ranks of the brigade, while the Brotherhood authority in Taiz claims that he is detained, so that it becomes clear from today's clash that Al-San`ani is practicing his life freely and invests in gas stations as well.
