Aden, NewsYemen:

A former military official in the "legitimacy" confessed to handing over the Nehm fronts, east of Sanaa, and the leadership of the seventh military region to the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, stressing that what happened "was not control by the Houthis but rather a handover."

Major General Mohsen Khusrouf, the former head of the Moral Guidance Department, in Marib, said that three camps fell into the hands of the Houthis after the fall of Nehm.

He implicitly acknowledged that what happened was a handover to the Houthis, and said: "If there were 10 elderly women at the tops of the Al-Manara and Al-Qab Mountains, no Houthi man could climb."

He pointed out that cutting the distance between Mount Manara and Al-Farda camp by car takes 3 hours because the road is bumpy.

Kharrouf asked in a televised interview on the Al-Mahriya channel, "the reason for the withdrawal of the legitimate forces from the leadership of the seventh military region and leaving the weapons, documents, maps and lists of the names of their affiliates to fall into the hands of the Houthis," which is an explicit indication that what happened was a handover process.
