On Sunday, the actress Intissar Al-Hammadi, was kidnapped in Sana'a and taken to an unknown destination by the Houthi militia.
Activists and friends of the artist said that Houthi gunmen attacked Al-Hammadi and kidnapped her while she was walking on Haddah Street - central Sanaa, her fate still unknown, along with two of her colleagues, Yusra, Ibtisam, and a fourth named Sarah Sari, who is still being pursued by the militia.
The Houthi group is intensifying its pursuit of Yemeni women with extremist accusations that denote its terrorist ideology.
The Houthis have closed cafes, cultural clubs and restaurants in Sanaa since they tightened their grip on Sanaa under the pretext of girls and guys gathering.
International reports and testimonies of women affected confirmed that the Houthis kidnapped hundreds of Yemeni women on malicious charges, followed by violence, rape and filming the victims in order to blackmail them, under the supervision of the so-called "Zainabiyat".
