Washington is listening to the World Bank’s vision of post-conflict Yemen

 The US envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, held a hearing session with World Bank officials about their post-conflict visions in Yemen, the US State Department said.

Lenderking expressed his aspiration to continue positive engagement with the Bank and the international community on ways to support long-term development and employ it to serve the Yemeni people.

The US State Department said, on its Twitter page, that the US special envoy to Yemen listened to the World Bank about his vision of the post-conflict situation in Yemen.

The US envoy discussed with the Kuwaiti ambassador to Washington, Salem Al-Sabah, the latest developments in the ceasefire efforts and the resumption of the political process between the Yemeni parties.

The White House Director for the Middle East, Barbara Lev, and the US ambassador to Kuwait, Romanowski, participated in the talks.
