America arrests Yemenis on the terrorism watch list

The US Customs and Border Protection Agency said on Monday that it has arrested two Yemeni men at the southern border who are on the FBI's terrorism watch list. 

The agency said, in a press release, that "members of the American Border Guard patrol have arrested two Yemeni men during the past two months, who are on the terrorism watch list."

The statement stated, that a Yemeni citizen was arrested on January 29 for illegally entering the United States across the US border with Mexico. The statement said that border guards indicated that the 33-year-old Yemeni man is on the FBI's terrorism watch list as well as on the no-fly list.

Additionally, the statement said, the man had a cell phone chip hidden under the sole of his shoe.

The statement said that the second Yemeni citizen was arrested on March 30 for illegally entering the United States across the southern border. The statement added that border agents found that the 26-year-old was also on the FBI's terrorism watch list and no-fly list.  

According to the statement, both men are currently in federal custody.
