"NewsYemen" has received appeals from Yemenis stuck between the two outposts at the border with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, due to the Yemeni Ministry of Defense’s decision to prevent Four-wheel drive from entering the country.

On a daily basis, those stranded on social media call on the government to address their circumstance, as days pass by them while they are stuck between the Saudi port and the Yemeni port, they and their families

Expatriates are wondering why they are forbidden to enter their cars that enter Yemeni lands dozens of times their number from the Omani border, while their cars are family personal and not commercial for sale, unlike what enters from the border crossing with Oman.

At the end of last month, the Yemeni Ministry of Defense stopped four-wheel drive cars from entering Yemen through the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of various names and types, and in an official letter sent to the Saudi Ministry of Defense described it as serving the Houthi coup militia, but it withdrew the decision after days of working with it and allowed the stuck cars. By passing, while the Saudi authorities kept the decision going until this moment.

On the other hand, the customs authorities at the Shehn border crossing in Al-Mahra governorate with the Sultanate of Oman allow four-wheel drive cars to enter Yemen.

In the context, a government source in the Yemeni Ministry of Expatriate Affairs of the legitimate government in Aden confirmed to "NewsYemen" that there are signs of a breakthrough in the accumulation of travelers in the Sharurah area on the Saudi side, pointing out that the decision to prevent entry came for the third time from the Saudi side.

The Yemeni authorities at the Al-Wadiah border crossing, located in the eastern province of Hadramout, refuse to comment on the matter and refuse to provide any statement or details about the ban and the conditions of expatriates.

In July of 2018, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stopped four-wheel drive cars from leaving to Yemen, but then allowed them to leave, with the exception of buses and Hilux, provided that the leaving vehicle is in the name of the person driving it.
