The martyrdom of the commander of the sixth military region, Major General Amin Al-Waeli

Military sources said that the commander of the sixth military region, Major General Amin Al-Waeli, was martyred on Friday evening on the fronts of the Ma'rib governorate during the confrontations with the Houthi militia.
The sources added that Al-Waeli was martyred in the Kasara front, west of Ma'rib, while another source said that Al-Waeli was martyred on the churches front, east of Al-Jawf governorate.
Al-Waeli was appointed commander of the sixth military region last November, after he was dismissed from the region’s leadership in 2018 at the request of Sheikh Al-Akimi, the governor of Al-Jawf, after he was appointed in its leadership since 2015.
After the fall of Al-Jawf and large areas, Hadi re-appointed Al-Waeli to lead the region after the defeats suffered by the legitimate forces in Al-Jawf, Marib and Nehm.
Al-Waeli was recently suffering from cancer, but continues to be a military commander in the field.
