The price of a bag of flour for ovens and bakeries in Sanaa on Tuesday, March 2, increased from 13,000 riyals to more than 15,000 riyals. These developments led to an increase in the price of a piece of bread (roti) from 20 riyals to 25 riyals, amid a decrease in the size of a piece from 27 grams to only 20 grams.
According to sources working in the bakery and oven sector who spoke to "News Yemen", some bakeries were forced to close their doors today, Tuesday, March 2, 2021, in front of consumers, affected by the high prices of flour and diesel, and the high production cost of bread tablets in exchange for the high price.
