Aden, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

An official source in the Southern Transitional Council explained, Tuesday, March 2, 2021, the nature of the statements made by the head of the Council, Major General Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, to the British newspaper, The Guardian.

The source indicated, in a special statement to "NewsYemen", that Major General Al-Zubaidi, in the context of his speech to the "Guardian," was limited to denouncing the attack on Marib, and referred to the failure of the party's military system in the governorate.

According to the source, the head of the Southern Transitional Council told the newspaper, "The fall of Marib will not lead to the transfer of the battle between the same parties to other regions, as much as this will impose major political and military transformations, and this means that the legitimacy used by the Brotherhood will not continue in Shabwa, Hadhramaut and the southern regions, and that Al-Houthi will find someone who resists it differently, stressing that the Council will bear the responsibility for the situation militarily and politically.

He stressed that "the newspaper has misused Al-Zubaidi's statements," adding, "We have contacted the newspaper about that."
