Mocha, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

In tweets on Twitter, Houthi leaders exchanged discussions about the prisoners, so Abdul Qadir Al-Murtada, the Houthi official in charge of the negotiations, wrote: “We were about to agree with the representative of the coastal fronts and the southern governorates on deals that include Mahmoud al-Subaihi, Ibn Tariq Afash and his brother, but the Islah representative who headed their team refused this the agreement failed. ”  Muhammad Ali Al-Houthi replied to him: "The Yemeni proverb says do not sell from two nor buy from three."

Thus, the Houthis, Muhammad and Abdel Qader, accomplished their attempt to divert attention from the “crime” of tampering with the prisoners ’file, and tried to use it for more conflicts between the parties of the National Committee that represents the parties fighting al-Houthi, rejecting his attempt to rule under arms.

However, NewsYemen sources said that the failure of the negotiations round is the Houthi’s desire to search for specific types of his captured fighters on the fronts, or the sons of the Hashemite families to which Muhammad Ali, Abdul Qadir al-Murtada and the entire Houthi leadership ranks belong.

The sources told "NewsYemen" that the Houthi negotiators insisted on requesting the old names of elements who were killed or missing during the battles to liberate Aden in 2015, as a condition for accepting the exchange.

The Houthi militia thwarted phase (B), which stipulates the release of two hundred Houthi prisoners (150 from Marib) and (50 from the west and south coast) in exchange for the release of the brother of President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi (Major General Nasser Mansour Hadi) and one hundred prisoners of legitimacy.

It explained that a hundred Houthi prisoners were to be released in this batch, in exchange for Hadi's brother, and 100 others in exchange for the same number of legitimacy, but the Houthis rejected most of the names provided by the legitimacy, including the names of the prisoners of the south and the joint forces on the west coast.

They also demanded the release of certain names of their prisoners, who belong to the Salafi group, and they refused to accept a large number of lists of fighters in their ranks from the people of the tribes (non-Hashemites).

According to "NewsYemen" sources, among the reasons for the failure of the prisoners' negotiations in Jordan, the representatives of the Houthi militia refused to expand the exchange list to include one thousand seven hundred prisoners, including important figures on both sides.

On the other hand, the Houthis demanded the release of 1,500 of their prisoners of war with the legitimacy, in exchange for their release of only 700 prisoners.

The sources pointed out that the Houthi negotiators were only maneuvering during the last round of talks in Jordan, while they gambled on developments on the ground, and said clearly: "Our prisoners in Marib will release them with our hands."

It warned that the Houthis had deliberately divided the prisoners' file, opened side negotiations and fabricated disagreements around it, to disavow the agreement to release all for all, which had already been signed in Sweden and under the auspices of the United Nations.
