Foreign Minister: Al Houthi militia seeks to destroy Marib

On Tuesday, February 23, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed with the UK ambassador to Yemen Michael Aaron, developments on the Yemeni arena and international efforts to achieve peace.
The "Saba" agency, in its legal version, stated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed during the meeting the government's keenness to achieve a just and sustainable peace according to the three references, stressing that the Houthi militias seek to destroy Marib and inflict heavy losses on lives and equipment.
He said that despite all these efforts aimed at ending the war and achieving peace, the Houthi militia continues its aggressive approach towards the Yemenis.
For his part, the British ambassador affirmed his country's support for the legitimate Yemeni government and for all efforts led by the United Nations to achieve peace and everything that would respect the unity, security, stability and sovereignty of Yemen over its lands in a way that meets the aspirations of its people.
