Abyan, NewsYemen:

Electricity returned to the coastal city of Shakra, in the governorate of Abyan, after darkness that lasted 280 days.

Local sources stated that the experimental electric current returned to the coastal city of Shakra, the Jaar-Shakra line, in the general transformers on the outskirts of the coastal city, which lived in complete darkness as a result of the events and confrontations that took place in those areas.

This comes after efforts made by the Abyan Electricity Corporation, the Shakra National Rescue Committee, and philanthropists who are keen on the return of electricity and light to the city.

The residents of Shaqra expressed their appreciation and thanks to the Shakra Rescue Committee headed by Sheikh Hussein Al-Hadel, the commercial figure Fahmi Al-Tamimi, the electricity director of Abyan Mahmoud Mukish, the engineering and technical staff, and the good people of Shakra.
