United Nations: The Houthi escalation in Marib heralds an unimaginable disaster

The United Nations has warned of exposing millions of civilians to danger due to the escalation of the Houthi militia in Marib, east of Sana'a, and its "possible repercussions on the humanitarian situation."
The Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief, Mark Lowcock, confirmed in a series of posts on "Twitter", that the military attack "puts up to two million civilians at risk and results in the displacement of hundreds of thousands, which will lead to unimaginable humanitarian consequences."
He stressed, "The time has now come to calm down, and not to multiply more misery for the Yemeni people," indicating that he will present the notification to the Security Council session when it convenes, next Thursday.
