Aden, NewsYemen:

On Monday, the governor of the capital, Ahmed Hamed, Lamas called on the government to equalize customs duties in the port of Aden and the land and air ports in the rest of the country's ports and outlets, as well as granting Aden a percentage of its financial resources, similar to other governorates.

In a press statement, on the sidelines of a ceremony held by the Customs Authority on the occasion of the International Day of Customs, the governor assured Lamels that the inequality of customs duties caused businessmen to refrain from Aden, and "this is something we do not accept, and we do not accept the interference of security and military authorities in the work of customs ports as well."  .

Lamels added, "We are still committed, but the failure to control other governorates by depositing their revenues in the Central Bank makes us intervene for the sake of the development of Aden, and Aden will not remain far from its resources."
